delicious, old-fashioned taste."

yielding variety.  Great full tomato flavor and exceptional dark red color.
Fruits are borne in clusters and average 4 oz."
Blue Fruit        Open Pollinated  Salad  Black  Indeterminate  78
days

Truth is I ordered this one because it said "blue" and I don't have a blue
tomato.  OK, so it is not a true blue color.  But "A distinctive purplish-gray
hue is what gives this 'black' tomato its name."  Unlike most black varieties,
it has patato-leaved foilage, medium size, but has that sweet fruity flavor we
like in the black tomatoes.

Brandy Boy        Hybrid  Slicer  Red  Indeterminate  78 days

Recommended by a customer in 2006, but it took me several years to get
it on the plant list.  Shame on me!  They are now one of the delights of my
garden.  Wonderful flavor packed in very attractive large red fruits.  Burpee
recomends caging for highest yields and best quality fruit.
Brandywine        Heirloom  Slicer  Pink  Indeterminate  85 days

Has the flavor to which all other tomatoes are compared.  This is the
Amish heirloom that started all the excitement.  An indeterminate, potato-
leafed variety with a sweet, rich, slightly spicy flavor.  The fruits are large,
lobed, and slightly irregular.

days

Brandywine taste and size, but with smoother fruit and greater production
- with claims like that how could I resist trying it?  The plants have regular
tomato leaves.  This one should make some really nice sandwiches and/or
slices for hamburgers.

Indeterminate  85 days

Tomato Growers Supply 2005 catalog reads, "Many gardeners consider
this strain the best Brandywine with fruit that is superior in taste and
smoothness.  Its tomatoes are indeed special, 1 to 2 lb. pink beefsteaks with
the delectably complex, rich, sweet flavor that has made Brandywine
justifiably famous."

popular. Some fruits tended to crack, but the yield was heavy, and the
plants were vigorous ..."
Brandywine Yellow Platfoot Strain        Heirloom  Slicer  Yellow
Indeterminate  85 days

Yellow Brandywine is my favorite yellow tomato because of its taste and
size.  Most yellows are sweet and mild.  This one if full of "real tomato
flavor", and the Platfoot strain is reported to have greater productivity and a
smoother shape than the regular Yellow
Brandywine.
Brave General        Heirloom  Slicer  Pink  Indeterminate  85 days

www.rareseeds.com reads, "We are proud to introduce this big, beautiful

best-tasting tomato award. This variety has won taste awards from coast to
coast in the last few years, so we were proud to locate a small supply of the

prettiest of the purple types we have ever seen. They also seem to have an
extra dose of the complex flavor dark tomatoes are famous for."

modern tomatoes can match. The heavily producing plants yield 6 ounce,
juicy fruits that are smooth, meaty, and deep-red in hue. Good disease
resistance. "
