Want peppers?

One of my customers, Geoff Bell, in SW Portland, is REALLY into peppers.
They will be ready about the first of May.
A list of varieties with descriptions
is available by searching Craig's List or by
contacting his directly.  His email is chiledr@yahoo.com .
Mid April, and over about 10,000 plants are safely growing up in our greenhouse.  They are just
waiting for the weather to warm up outside so you can move them into your garden.  Until then, we
will take the best care of them that we can.

2007 was the most rewarding year for us, as so many of you were so kind in your support and
encouraging words.

2008 was a hard year.  Weather caused a major loss, and we found ourselves sold out of many of
our and your favorite varieties before we began.

2009 we tried to be better prepared by "double planting" - planting twice as many seeds as we
thought we would need to increase the odds that we will have everything you want.  Perhaps we
"over corrected" a bit, as we t
ransplanted over 12,000 seedlings - more than we could market.

2010 we again "double planted", but tried to be more realistic on the number to transplant for sale.
Last year we had too many left over.  Sure hope I planted enough!  This farming thing is a bit more
complicated than it looks.

The Spring Garden Fair at the Canby Fair Grounds is May 1
st and 2nd.  We will be in a new
spot this year, closer to the main entrance.
There you will find our plants and those
great tomato cages, Wallo’Waters™ plant protectors, red plastic mulch and other growing aids.
Yes, "Chiledr" is planning on joining us again.

The weekend before that sale, April 23rd, 24th, & 25th, we will be at the Clark Public
Utilities Home & Garden Idea Fair.  This is held at the Clark County Fairgrounds just of
I5, north of Vancouver.

Yes, you can pre-order.  Just email (carl@unclewaynestomatoes.com)  with a list of the plants you
want and when you want to pick them up, and we will reserve them for you.  Please help us by
placing your pre-orders no later than Wednesday, April 21
st, so we can pull your orders and still
have time to set up our booth display.   Thank you!

We look forward to seeing and talking with you real soon!
